East Regional Sales Manager
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: East Regional Sales Manager position instrumental in our next stage of growth, Pilgrim’s Pride recognizes the value the Regional Chain Manager, Multi-Unit Chains brings to the team and just as importantly to our customers. Responsible for managing the sales activities of your region, this is an exciting position where you will lead and grow your respective region by executing the strategy and goals that are aligned with Pilgrim’s vision, financial health and that are in balance with customer needs and promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Our ideal candidate will currently sit and work in the East Region of the US. This candidate will work from a home/remote office.
Responsibilities:
- Sales leader calling on Foodservice Distributors, Large Operators, such as Multi-Unit Regional Chains, Stadiums, and Restaurants.
- Responsible for face-to-face execution of Pilgrim’s Sales and Marketing Strategies against a defined list of target Customers to grow the Pilgrim’s Fresh and Prepare business.
- Penetrate distribution/operator customers to truly understand their wants and needs.
- Develop conceptual business-building propositions that add value to distributor/operator beyond Product and Price.
- Work closely with Customer Marketing Resource(s) to differentiate Pilgrim’s from competition by being viewed as Segment expert and consultant.
- Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly meeting collaboration with distributors field sales team and broker team to insure alignment.
- Validate new high potential Distribution/Operator customers utilizing data and marketing strategies.
- Maintain and grow existing customers by selling the Pilgrim’s Way – a principled and processional selling.
- Plan, schedule, develop, and execute sales trainings and new product introductions with Broker offices, Distributors and top Operators.
- Effectively manage growth funds at a regional level to support strategic Key Distributor and Operator initiatives.
- Develop target customer promotional plans to include trade funding / price deviations / etc. that returns satisfactory ROI.
- Contribute to New product opportunity identification for Distributors/Large Operators/chains.
- Product updates to Sales leadership on opportunities and issues.
- Forecast significant volume increases or decreases to sales leadership and demand planning.
- Must actively engage in the weekly sales pipeline process and leverage account planning framework.
- Support regional business development activities including food shows, sales meetings and trade shows.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College degree in business, sales, or related field strongly preferred
- 5+ experience of top-level sales
- Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships with accounts
- Experience selling for manufacturers specially in animal protein is required; poultry experience preferred
- Position requires about 50% travel.
- Computer skill knowledge of Microsoft offices (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups od individuals within and outside of the company
- Analytical and process oriented
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you will be required to travel to other facilities, attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $110,000-$150,000
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
