The Brooder Supervisor position is primarily responsible for turkey husbandry and supervising all brooder workers and reporting to the Director of Turkey Operations. Employer is looking for highly motivated person who desires to work on a turkey farm that values excellent character and work ethic.\r\n\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tLead, Manage, Accountability\r\n\tEnsure checklist for daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed.\r\n\tMeet expectations on the Level 3 Skill Assessment\r\n\tCommunicate fluently in English and Spanish\r\n\tExecute objectives from Director of Turkey Operations\r\n\tCoordinate brooders for activities barn setup, poults, moving, cleanout.\r\n\tCoordinate with Grower Supervisor\r\n\tTrain new grower employees\r\n\tCommunicate with Maintenance Manager with needed repairs and materials.\r\n\tEnsures compliance to bio-security policy and animal welfare practices.\r\n\tFollows safety procedures.\r\n\tSchedule brooder PTO time and substitute absences\r\n\tHave annual reviews with direct reports.\r\n\tHave high production expectations.\r\n\tFollow standard processes and reduce process variation.\r\n\tMonitor and adjust barn climate temperature, fans, ventilation, humidity, etc.\r\n\tEnsure necessary records are up to date and accurate.\r\n\tEffectively vaccinate and medicate flocks.\r\n\tLead and mentor barn workers explain the why.\r\n\tChampion overall bird health and livability\r\n\tMeet with brooders daily identify task, goals, expectations.\r\n\tChallenge employees through empowerment/increased responsibility\r\n\tIdentify problems production, labor, barns, equipment and find or delegate a solution.\r\n\tDelegate day to day tasks to capable barn workers\r\n\tExecute equipment plan needs, maintenance, sanitation, replacement.\r\n\r\n\r\nALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
