Baskin Livestock Inc. is currently looking to hire a new Feed Mill Manager to supervise the feed mill and team. We operate two feed mills, including one facility that recycles items from the human food production stream (‘pre-consumer’) diverting it from its previous fate of entering a landfill, and processing the mix into either a high quality bakery meal or a sugar product.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDuties:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tOversee the production of both bakery & pet food production\r\n\tOversee a production team of around 20 employees\r\n\tManage production workers scheduling\r\n\tManage annual reviews, hiring, and firing for production workers\r\n\tAid production team as needed (loading trucks, unloading trucks, operating the mill)\r\n\tTrack maintenance issues using CMMS software\r\n\tSchedule third party maintenance companies to assist with maintenance\r\n\tSchedule inbound van products\r\n\tOversee compliance with OSHA regulations and FISMA requirements\r\n\tAssist with capital improvement projects\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAbility to manage a team of 20\r\n\tAbility to effectively communicate with the maintenance and trucking teams\r\n\tExperience and knowledge relevant to mill management\r\n\tStrong mechanical aptitude\r\n\tExperience with skid steers, forklifts, and driving truck would be an asset\r\n\tWorking knowledge of Spanish would be an asset\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position offers competitive compensation and full benefits/health insurance for a family or individual.
