Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and friendly team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established, progressive mixed practice with a strong focus on cattle and sheep. Based on the outskirts of Cavan Town, the clinic is ideally situated for easy access to both rural farm communities and nearby city connections.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing routine and emergency veterinary care to cattle and sheep clients
- Carrying out herd health visits, fertility scanning, and reproductive management
- Performing routine surgical and diagnostic procedures on-farm
- Offering advice on nutrition, disease prevention, and livestock management
- Supporting junior vets and contributing to practice development initiative
Package:
- Full-time position with 1 in 4 weekend rota and shared OOH duties
