Based half an hour from Dalby, this progressive feedlot & farming operation is committed to high standards of livestock care, nutrition, and workplace safety. With provided accommodation, this role offers the chance to live and work in a thriving agricultural region. Reporting directly to the Feedlot Manager, the Farm & Feedlot Couple will support day-to-day operations across livestock care, feed preparation, machinery operation, and general farm duties. This role is vital in ensuring cattle are well-fed, healthy, and managed in a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Operate and maintain feed machinery, delivering accurate rations to livestock.
- Carry out livestock checks, handling, pen moves, induction, and dispatch.
- Undertake general farm work including machinery operation, fencing, water checks, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records, uphold safety standards, and support smooth daily feedlot operations.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience operating tractors, loaders, or agricultural machinery.
- Understanding of livestock handling and welfare practices.
- Strong work ethic with reliability, teamwork, and self-motivation.
- Flexibility, safety focus, and practical problem-solving ability.

- Couple accommodation provided on-site.
- Hourly rate negotiable based on experience.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
- Previous feedlot or cattle handling experience preferred but not essential.
