Bailey Nurseries is hiring a Sales Representative to remotely join our team in the Southeastern United States. This is a field-based, consultative sales professional who builds partnerships with growers and re-wholesalers to drive sustainable business growth.

We offer competitive compensation of $70,000 - $85,000 based on experience, health, dental, vision, and disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) options, and more.
What you will be doing:
- Lead a consultative sales process—conduct discovery, assess grower needs, and deliver tailored solutions to support production planning, inventory forecasting, and problem-solving.
- Grow existing accounts and acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
- Serve as the primary regional representative, fostering strong grower and re-wholesaler relationships.
- Provide technical and horticultural expertise on plant health, cultural practices, and product performance.
- Position Bailey’s portfolio as premium-quality, high-value solutions.
- Participate in industry events and track market trends, grower challenges, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and marketing teams to align account strategies.
- Maintain CRM records, develop sales plans, and communicate insights to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in horticultural or agricultural sales (grower or wholesale preferred) or equivalent technical/sales background.
- Strong technical knowledge of plant production systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 60% and reside within the assigned territory.
- Must meet MVR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of horticultural or agricultural sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Strong consultative sales skills and experience with re-wholesalers or large nursery operations.
- Familiarity with production planning, forecasting, or supply chain processes.
