Bailey Nurseries is hiring a Mass Merchant Sales Lead to remotely join our team in the upper Midwest Area. In this role you will be managing strategic mass-merchant accounts, driving sales growth, strengthening long-term partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence.

We offer competitive compensation of $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience, health, dental, vision, and disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) options, and more.
What you will be doing:
- Manage all aspects of mass-merchant accounts, including assortment planning, forecasting, order flow, logistics, and quality assurance.
- Partner with Inside Sales to resolve service issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Use internal and external data analytics to build annual sales strategies, promotions, and growth initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Bailey Nurseries and merchant partners, ensuring clear communication.
- Collaborate with Planning, Production, Inventory, and Logistics to align crop availability and shipping timelines with customer needs.
- Work with brand and marketing teams on brand positioning; represent the company at trade shows and vendor events.
- Oversee EDI and data exchanges to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare reports, marketing materials, advertising proposals, and markdown plans.
- Maintain confidentiality of pricing, customer data, and proprietary information.
- Stay current on plant innovations, industry trends, and horticulture developments to support customer education and sales.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate store execution, support merchandising, and identify opportunities.
- Participate in national sales meetings and grower network meetings as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to travel up to 60%; must meet MVR requirements.
- Experience in horticulture, garden centers, or related industries strongly preferred.
