Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong desire to contribute to a positive environment for both pets and their owners.

Duties
As a Veterinary Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures
Preparing and maintaining examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
Restraining animals during examinations and treatments as needed
Administering medications and vaccinations under the supervision of veterinary staff
Collecting samples for laboratory testing, including blood, urine, and feces
Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient information in the system
Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments
Assisting with the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as necessary

Experience
Candidates should possess:

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required
Laboratory experience is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to assist with diagnostic procedures
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members and pet owners
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
