We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant and or Receptionist to join our Happy Paws team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and good past work supervisor references.

VA Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of patient information, filling prescriptions, setting up for appointments and surgery, assisting veterinarians and technicians as needed , stocking, cleaning, and autoclaving as needed, helping maintain inventory.

Admin Responsibilities once trained
Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner, schedule appointments and manage the front desk activities, assist with patient check-ins and discharges, handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently, call backs and reminders.

Skills
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, vaccination protocols, veterinary software, fear free animal restraint, aseptic techniques, and familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures. Experience with x-ray, blood machines, venipuncture and iv placement is a plus.
