Agri-Tech Services Inc is hiring a Crop Advisor in Myakka City, FL (about 20 miles east of Sarasota). In this role, you will thoroughly survey farm fields throughout central and south Florida to ensure crops are grown as efficiently as possible, recommending inputs and spray applications to growers.

Agri-Tech Services Inc., founded in 1982, is a crop consulting and scouting company specializing in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and biocontrol. Our team of experienced scout consultants works closely with growers to provide customized farm management solutions. We gather and analyze field data, then implement targeted programs designed to maximize crop production while minimizing chemical inputs.

We offer competitive pay based on experience ranging from $50,000 - $55,000. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30-5pm, however weather can change plans and require an occasional Saturday or Sunday to complete the work week.

What you will be doing:

Walking through large commercial specialty crop farms in central and south Florida, identifying and quantifying insect and disease pressure in the crops.
Utilizing real time data to recommend inputs and spray applications to the growers.
Ensuring our clients’ crops are grown as efficiently as possible.

What we’re looking for:

Background or experience in entomology, plant pathology, and/or environmental science.
College degree in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science, crop or soil science, or relatable field is preferred but not required.
Ability to survey and walk field weekly, walking up to 10 miles each day.
