Job Summary: As a Veterinary Technician at Cats Only Veterinary Hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients. This position requires a combination of technical veterinary skills and excellent communication abilities to effectively manage patient care and client interaction.

Responsibilities:

Conduct initial evaluations of patient health, including taking vital signs and gathering medical histories.
Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures; this includes preparing equipment, handling animals, and assisting in surgeries.
Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including blood draws, urinalysis, and x-rays.
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian.
Provide nursing care and post-operative care to hospitalized patients.
Educate and advise pet owners on pet health, care, and medications.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Veterinary Technician (licensed Vet Tech preferred).
Proven experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic.
Strong understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to pet owners.
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely.
Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks.
A compassionate and positive attitude towards animal care.
