We are a family-owned cattle station 3 1/2 hours from Broome, Western Australia. We are currently recruiting for a Beef Cattle Farm Worker.

Essential criteria:

· Minimum of two years experience on an extensive beef enterprise

· Demonstrated high level skills in, and commitment to, practicing low stress stock handling

· Physically fit

· Manual drivers’ license

· A HR licence or ability to obtain

· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to service and repair plant and equipment

· Demonstrated ability to operate loaders and graders

· Demonstrated ability to weld and fabricate

· Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel)

· Ability to pass a drug test

· No dogs

This is a full-time, permanent position and self-contained accommodation is provided. Please note, this position is located in the remote Kimberley region and no school facilities are available.

Duties will include:

· All aspects of animal husbandry including processing cattle, preparing cattle for sale, educating weaners etc.

· General station work including building and maintaining infrastructure, bore runs, machinery operation and maintenance etc.

· Training of new staff in station tasks

· Supervision of staff in station tasks

· Accurate record keeping and data entry

· Contributing to developing and implementing daily, weekly and monthly management plans

Must genuinely like animals, be able to work as part of a small team, clean and tidy. Please note, there is no horse work involved.
