Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Relief Veterinarian to join our team. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive veterinary care, including diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions in various animal species.
Perform routine and emergency procedures, demonstrating proficiency in veterinary critical care and aseptic techniques.
Conduct thorough examinations and utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
Utilize animal handling skills to safely restrain animals during examinations and procedures.
Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop treatment plans that prioritize animal welfare and client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients treated during relief shifts.
Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive care practices.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in veterinary practice, with a strong emphasis on animal care and critical care experience.
Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and handling various species, including dogs and equines.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and the ability to perform diagnostic tests as needed.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
