Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and veterinary procedures, with experience in various aspects of animal health management. The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting with medical procedures, patient care, and client communication, contributing to the overall excellence of our veterinary services.

Duties

Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures using aseptic techniques.
Perform animal restraint and handling, including dog training and pet grooming as needed.
Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately according to veterinary instructions.
Monitor animal physiology during procedures and recoveries, ensuring patient safety.
Take diagnostic radiographs (X-ray) and assist with other imaging techniques.
Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, laboratory results, and procedural notes.
Care for animals in kennels, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring health status.
Assist with animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other technical procedures requiring veterinary critical care experience.
Support clients by providing pet care advice related to animal husbandry, pet grooming, and general health maintenance.
Maintain a clean and sterile environment following proper aseptic protocols to prevent infection.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology.
Experience with kennel management, animal husbandry, and pet care practices.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing techniques.
Ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques suitable for different species including dogs and cats.
Skills in animal catheterization, restraint, and administering injections or medications.
Competence in performing X-ray imaging and understanding of veterinary critical care protocols.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate pet owners.
Certification or licensing as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for internship positions. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
