Duties

Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety and comfort for both animals and staff
Administer medications, Injections, and treatments accurately following veterinary instructions and aseptic techniques
Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, grooming, and monitoring health status
Handle laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostics to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
Maintain detailed records of animal care, medication administration, and clinical procedures in compliance with clinic protocols
Provide front desk support by scheduling appointments, managing client communications, and processing payments to ensure smooth clinic operations
Assist with animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other technical procedures requiring veterinary technician experience

Requirements

Previous kennel experience or animal care background demonstrating familiarity with pet handling and pet care routines
Proven veterinary assistant or technician experience in a clinical setting with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
Experience in veterinary critical care environments is highly desirable
Strong animal handling skills including dog handling, equine experience, and animal restraint techniques
Ability to perform medication administration accurately and follow aseptic protocols diligently
Laboratory experience related to sample processing or diagnostic testing preferred
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients professionally at the front desk or during pet care consultations
Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures necessary for effective assistance in clinical tasks

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
