Who we are:

We are a very busy, fast-paced small animal hospital that has an immediate opening for a part-time receptionist. Receptionists are the first and last contact a client has with our hospital and are they key to creating a lasting impression. Applicant must be friendly and outgoing, well-spoken, have a professional appearance, have the ability to deal with stressful situations, ability to multi-task, and be efficient using a computer and multi-line phone system. Hours would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:30p.m and 8:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. every other Saturday. Every other Saturday will be required.

Job Duties include (but are not limited to):

Greeting clients in a timely manner and be compassionate and attentive to both client and patient.
Answering multi-line phone system
Scheduling appointments
Taking clinical history
Answering client questions about foods, medications, products, and procedures.
Processing payments
Record accurate communications in patient chart with appropriate grammar
Review and discuss medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients
Cleaning and maintenance of front office

Special Work Conditions:

You must be able to endure sitting, standing, walking for extended periods of time.
You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
You must be confident around pets
You must be able to work in a noisy environment with sounds from animals and equipment that can be moderately high.
Must understand that patient needs and work volume may result in more than scheduled hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
