Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with experience in various veterinary practices. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to animals, ensuring their well-being, and supporting pet owners with information and guidance.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal patients during procedures and recovery.
Provide proper restraint for animals during examinations and treatments.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques.
Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and sanitation protocols.
Handle various species, including dogs, cats, and equines, with care and professionalism.

Requirements

Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
Experience with animal catheterization, dental terminology, and critical care is a plus.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine.
Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact with both team members and pet owners.
