At River Road Veterinary Clinic, we’re passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for our patients and their families. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant who shares our love for animals and commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support our veterinarians with daily clinical duties, including:

Assisting in animal examinations and treatments
Monitoring and comforting patients before and after procedures
Preparing and cleaning exam rooms, equipment, and surgical tools
Administering medications and collecting lab samples (as directed)
Educating clients on pet care, nutrition, and preventive medicine
Maintaining accurate patient records

Qualifications

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care role preferred, on the job training is offered for the right candidate.
Passion for animal welfare and comfort working with all species
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent (certificate/diploma in Veterinary Assisting an asset)
