Join our dynamic team as an Orchard Lead, where you will be at the forefront of orchard management and agricultural maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily orchard operations, ensure optimal crop health, and lead a dedicated team of farm workers. Your mechanical knowledge, animal familiarity, and hands-on experience with day to day orchard life. We are looking for a motivated worker who thrives in an environment of both independence and team-oriented tasks.

Supervise and coordinate daily orchard activities, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and maintenance tasks
Oversee animals' duties related to farm animals or livestock associated with orchard operations
Operate and maintain farm machinery, equipment repair, irrigation systems, and heavy equipment to ensure smooth operations
Train and supervise team members in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, forklift operation, and safety procedures
Conduct regular inspections of orchard health, equipment functionality, and animal care standards
maintaining the property for the u-pick season. Planting trees
Maintain detailed records of crop progress, equipment maintenance logs, and animal health reports
Pressing apples and pasteurizing juice in the fall season

Supervising experience in farm or orchard setting
Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair and small engines
Some knowledge animal husbandry and animal handling techniques
Independent and knowledge in operating forklifts, power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems and tractors
Experience with horticulture practices and orchard management
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery efficiently
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting schedules or irrigation needs
