Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Credentialed Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures, inpatient nursing care, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and educating pet parents on preventive healthcare for their pets. Once familiar with the hospital routines, team engagement and work flow, your responsibilities will include all things surgical, dental and patient recovery. Duties:

- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Perform laboratory tests such as CBC, blood chemistries, urinalysis, cytology

- Perform diagnostic radiographs; assist with ultrasound procedures

- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

- Maintain and organize a clean working environment

- Assist with organizing and planning upcoming procedures

- Assist with anesthetic procedures, monitor and recover patients

- Properly document procedures, including medical notes, drug logs, discharge

instructions and follow-up reminders

Qualifications:

- Current working experience as a Veterinary Surgery Technician required

- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry and Fear Free handling techniques

- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and equipment operation (IDEXX)

- Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners on proper

preventive health care, post-surgical care and chronic illness care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
