Join Nutreco as a CAPEX and Operational Excellence Project Manager to champion innovative, high-impact improvements across the ECA region. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead cross-functional teams to streamline processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure top-tier quality standards. You’ll also be accountable for planning and executing capital projects up to €2.5 million while effectively managing risks and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Reporting to the Operations Director ECA, you will deploy industry-leading Capital Excellence processes, foster a culture of operational efficiency, and guide international project teams toward successful outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Develop and present investment proposals for Operating Company approval, ensuring full alignment with Nutreco’s goals and standards.
- Implement robust project management processes, enforce Nutreco’s Design, Quality, and HSE standards, and drive proactive management of HSE KPIs across all projects.
- Form and lead local and external project teams, anticipate and remove roadblocks, and manage escalations to maintain project momentum.
- Evaluate CAPEX estimates critically, challenge project schedules, participate in vendor selection, and promote innovative, sustainable design solutions aligned with business needs.
- Support local project teams hands-on, train and mentor business stakeholders on project management best practices, and chair regular portfolio update meetings to ensure transparency.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions to continuously drive project improvements.
- Own the master data handover process during project execution and ensure seamless transition to maintenance after project completion.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in capital investment projects—preferably within the animal/aquafeed, food, FMCG, or fine chemicals industries—supported by a degree in Engineering.
- Demonstrated track record leading complex initiatives, including broad experience working with various suppliers and managing diverse project scopes.
- Ability to effectively navigate and engage multicultural and cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and project delivery.
- Skilled in overseeing equipment suppliers, consultants, contractors, and other project team members, integrating multiple disciplines into cohesive project execution.
- Advanced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and AutoCAD, capable of leveraging these tools for efficient project management.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills to interact with global stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive mindset with a passion for getting involved in day-to-day project activities and driving team performance.
