Your Role: RTR Consultant is responsible to ensure accurate, consistent and efficient delivery of General Accounting activities for the most complex countries within the assigned region. In addition, this role will require end-to-end processes expertise to be seen as RTR SME, who is able to represent the team in cross-functional discussions & initiatives as well as to perform some of the review activities.
Your Responsibilities:
Daily Operational Activities
- Be seen as primary point of contact for all General Accounting (GA) related items, including full ownership for the month-end closing tasks and reconciliation process, for most complex company codes within assigned region
- Responsible to execute complete month-end process timely and with high quality, including journal entries preparation and review
- Work closely with local finance team to understand their day-to-day activities and ensure these are properly reflected in the ledgers
- Prepare and manage monthly trial balance package for assigned countries within NA/LATAM/EMEA region, including providing Balance Sheet fluctuation analyses
- Prepare & review Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Support the overall GA team by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in case of changes
- Present proactive and independent approach to gaps identification and issue-solving
- Execute SOX controls in accordance with RTR Control Matrix
- Ensure continuous and consistent process delivery, including being an efficient back-up
- Share knowledge and train other team members, especially New-Joiners
Process Expertise and Business Partnership
- Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting treatments in accordance with policy/procedures
- Support global/regional GA and cross-functional initiatives, proactively identify opportunities for improvements within RTR scope
- Work with IT to understand system capabilities and follow up on technical issues
- Build and sustain effective relationships with Affiliates and across other functions
Project Phase
- Deliver key project milestones for SAP Integration. Work closely with Project SMEs to ensure team members’ readiness and smooth go-live.
Process Governance:
- Demonstrate a strong Continuous Improvement oriented approach & help to build a strong Continuous Improvement culture
- Prepare robust process documentation and make updates in a regular & timely manner
Controls:
- Demonstrate a strong compliance oriented mindset & help to ensure SOX compliance within the whole region
- Engage with External/Internal Audit to provide required documentation
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Master’s Degree or equivalent Degree in Finance or Accounting
- At least 5 years of experience in General Accounting processes, preferably in shared services environment
- Fluency in English language
- Experience with SAP
- Proven improvement orientation within prior operational business roles
- Ability to respond flexibly to customer needs and effectively manage expectations
- Ability to handle complexity and utilize analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks & effectively manage workload in fast-changing environment while demonstrating full ownership & accountability
- Superb problem solving and communication skills
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Experience with Onestream
