Feeds’n Needs – Retail Division of Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco Company is seeking a Retail Store Manager
About The Role:
Our Port Williams, Nova Scotia Feeds’ n Needs store is one of 15 corporate owned stores specializing in providing quality service to animal, pet, and lawn & garden consumers throughout the Maritimes. We are seeking someone who demonstrates strong leadership and information-sharing skills to their peers. As the store manager you set the example, demonstrating a commitment to a high standard of customer service, procedure, can communicate effectively to peers and work with their team to keep them motivated and successful. The right candidate actively participates in the store’s sales development plans and the smooth running of the branch.
Responsibilities:
- Execute regional store strategies to enhance traffic and profitability
- Oversee store administration and compliance with policies
- Ensure superior store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, and profits
- Introduce innovative ideas to expand market share
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or applicable practical experience
- Previous retail or retail management experience, focused on excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers/clients regarding merchandise
- Proven aptitude in accurate and cost-effective decision-making
- Customer management and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Powerful leadership skills and business orientation
- High level of computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
