Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. Will consider non licensed technician minimum 5 years Vet Hospital experience The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with the ability to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively for signs of recovery or distress
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
Provide proper restraint techniques for animals during examinations and procedures
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including adherence to aseptic techniques
Handle various species of animals with confidence, including dogs, cats, and equines

Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
Experience in animal husbandry and critical care practices
Proficiency in laboratory procedures and diagnostics
Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices
Ability to perform animal catheterization and understand animal anatomy
Experience in dog handling, training, grooming, and general pet care
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills in managing medical records
