Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. Will consider non licensed technician minimum 5 years Vet Hospital experience The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with the ability to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively for signs of recovery or distress
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Provide proper restraint techniques for animals during examinations and procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including adherence to aseptic techniques
- Handle various species of animals with confidence, including dogs, cats, and equines
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Experience in animal husbandry and critical care practices
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and diagnostics
- Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and understand animal anatomy
- Experience in dog handling, training, grooming, and general pet care
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills in managing medical records

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
