Now for what WE’RE looking for:
Northwoods Vet Clinic is actively seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team and will consider new graduates. In addition, we're looking for experienced veterinary assistants with a minimum of 1.5 years in a veterinary hospital setting. At this time, we cannot consider applicants that do not meet this requirement.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians have a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to: all manner of animal husbandry, restraint (with an emphasis on low-stress handling techniques), electronic medical record data entry, client education, medication calculations and administration, venipuncture, IV catheter placement and fluid administration, laser therapy, table top radiology, dental radiology, dental charting and prophylaxis, anesthesia induction and maintenance, intubation, cytology (ear & skin) interpretation, running in-house lab tests, appointment room workflow and assistance.
Veterinary assistant(s) will have a wide range of responsibilities in all manner of animal husbandry, restraint (with an emphasis on low-stress handling techniques), electronic medical record data entry, medication administration, client education, obtaining radiographs, running in-house lab equipment, with a primary focus on appointment room workflow and assistance.
