Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in providing exceptional care to our animal patients and their owners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary practices and animal care, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and their pets. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for animal welfare.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist with front desk operations, including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
Handle animal restraint during examinations and treatments as needed.
Administer medications under the direction of veterinary staff.
Provide information on pet care, services offered, and general veterinary terminology to clients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Support the veterinary team in laboratory tasks and aseptic techniques as required.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

Kennel experience or animal husbandry knowledge.
Veterinary technician or assistant experience, including critical care exposure.
Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations and terminology.
Proficiency in animal handling, dog handling, and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
Experience with medication administration, animal catheterization, and laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
