Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, with experience in critical care and a passion for animal welfare. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgical procedures, and providing preventive care to ensure the well-being of pets and other animals.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and emergency surgeries.
Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to communicate effectively with staff and pet owners.
Provide guidance on animal care, husbandry, and grooming practices to pet owners.
Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques to minimize stress during examinations or procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, medications, and progress notes.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care are met.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license to practice in the relevant state or region.
Proven experience in veterinary practice, particularly in critical care settings is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common diseases affecting various species.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures for diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
