Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including animal catheterization and aseptic techniques.
- Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols.
- Provide guidance on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures to pet owners.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Stay updated on veterinary terminology, advancements in animal medicine, and best practices in animal husbandry.
- Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques during examinations and treatments.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in animal handling and care, with an emphasis on companion animals, bovine and equine.
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care protocols is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
- Experience with animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the animals and the team during procedures.
- A commitment to continuous learning in the field of veterinary medicine.
