The Animal Emergency and Specialty Center in Reno, Nevada, is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our advanced imaging and endoscopy team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a passion for diagnostic imaging. In this specialized role, the LVT will assist in performing advanced imaging procedures, including CT, ECG, ultrasound, digital radiograph, and endoscopy, ensuring precise and high-quality diagnostic support for our veterinary team. This position is ideal for a technician who is proficient in imaging modalities and committed to providing excellent patient care.
Job responsibilities as a licensed veterinary technician in our rehab facility include:
- Prepare patients for advanced imaging procedures, including proper positioning and restraint
- Operate imaging equipment (CT, ultrasound, endoscopy) safely and efficiently
- Monitor anesthesia during imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating imaging equipment
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain proper documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and veterinarians for image review and interpretation
- Accurately log and archive images in the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sterility in the imaging suite and endoscopy equipment
- Provide clear communication to clients about imaging processes when necessary
- Support cross-training in other departments as needed
A full-time position will result in:
Compensation: $ 28/hour based on skill and experience level.
