Verbio is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Maintenance Technician for its production facility in South Bend, IN.

About Verbio
Verbio acquired South Bend Ethanol, LLC, an operating ethanol plant located in South Bend, Indiana. As a global leader in the renewable energy industry, this will be Verbio’s second US production facility following the successful commissioning of its Nevada, IA plant. The site will be developed over the next three years incorporating Verbio’s advanced engineering and operating technology practices. Verbio expanded the plant into a modern biorefinery at an estimated total investment of $230 million.

Position
As a Maintenance Technician you will specifically focus on ensuring the successful operation of the facility by resolving mechanical issues, identifying quality concerns, and understanding the production threshold of the equipment.

Essential Functions

Troubleshoot all mechanical problems, repairing and maintaining equipment
Performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment
Assist with the shutdown and startup of equipment on shut down projects
Adhere to all OSHA and National Electrical Safety Code regulations and procedures
Installation of various types of equipment
Developing cohesive teams between the operations and maintenance groups to improve reliability
Ability to perform industrial construction activities
Additional duties, as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years of on the job experience or equivalent education
Good communication and organizational skills
Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
Familiar with computerized maintenance managements systems
Willingness to work an on call schedule
