Are you interested in making your own way and starting a business? We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team starting a fish farm in Homestead, Florida. As a team member you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our fish farm operations. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of animal care, data collection, and mechanical skills.
Responsibilities
- Feed and monitor fish in tanks or ponds
- Perform regular inspections of fish health and water quality
- Assist with breeding and spawning activities
- Collect and record data on fish growth, feeding habits, and environmental conditions
- Clean tanks, filters, and equipment to maintain optimal conditions for fish
- Assist with the harvesting and processing of fish
- Dissect fish for research purposes as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records of fish stocks
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment used in fish farming operations
- Perform basic plumbing tasks for water circulation systems
Qualifications
- Ability to collect and record accurate data
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and operation
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations related to fish farming is helpful
