Gernaat Dairy! We are hiring a
Maintenance Manager in
Falmouth, MI (20 miles east of Cadillac, MI). In this role you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining parlors, barns and sand separation systems while keeping all facility and farm equipment operating at peak performance and efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing one Assistant Maintenance Technician who will assist with basic maintenance responsibilities. We offer competitive pay based on experience along with paid time off, health insurance, and a company vehicle while working. Schedule will be Monday - Friday but may require additional days as needed and required to be on the monthly rotation on-call schedule.
What you will be doing: Parlors:
- General repair and maintenance.
- Daily walk through to ensure equipment is working properly.
- Monitor chemical usage and inventory.
Barns:
- Maintenance and repairs on alley scrapers.
- Structural and equipment repairs.
Sand separation systems:
- Daily performance monitoring.
- Move sand piles daily to allow for drying.
This job is for you if you: - Have experience performing maintenance and repair in an agricultural or farming facility setting.
- Have strong technical and mechanical knowledge with an understanding of various dairy systems, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems.
- Are detail oriented with an interest in continuing to learn and have strong time management skills.
- Work well under pressure and are capable of setting priorities.
- Have ability to multi-task and work productively.
- Work well independently as well as with a team.
- Have an open mind with a positive attitude.
