Job Summary
Clio Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for our rapidly growing small animal and exotic practice. Duties
- Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide proper restraint and handling of animals during examinations and treatments.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleanings.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Veterinary technician experience or equivalent veterinary experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
- Experience with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and critical care.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to effectively communicate within the team.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
