Veterinary Receptionist

We are a Veterinary Hospital located on Main Street in Damascus and we are seeking a full-time receptionist to add to our quickly growing practice. We are looking for customer service driven professionals that enjoy interacting with animals as well as people.

Additionally, we are looking for qualified individuals with the following skill sets.

Familiarity with:

- General Veterinary Practice needs, for example obtaining medical and vaccination records.

- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- Adobe PDF.

- Electronic documentation handling including scanning, attaching, and digital filing.

- Idexx Cornerstone Software, or other medical software.

Proficiency in:

- Customer Service, including appropriate communication, follow up, and escalation.

- Typing, including recording verbal conversations in text format.

- Professional communication both verbal and written.

- Administrative Skills such as check-in, check-out, managing phones calls, appointment scheduling, point-of-sale transactions, and multi-tasking.

Additional Considerations:

- Positive Outlook and Ability to Contribute to Business Improvement

- Interest in Social Media Campaigns.

- Availability to work every other Saturday.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Provide information on veterinary services and procedures, utilizing veterinary terminology.
Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits.
Process payments and manage medical collections efficiently.
Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure high-quality pet care and customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
