The role involves managing emergency cases, overseeing inpatients overnight, and delivering critical nursing care with a high degree of autonomy. You will work closely with on-call veterinarians and support staff to ensure patient safety and wellbeing throughout the night.
Responsibilities Includes:
- Monitoring and treating critical care and hospitalised patients overnight
- Managing emergency admissions and triage of urgent cases
- Supporting advanced anaesthesia and surgical procedures when required
- Maintaining thorough and timely patient documentation
- Providing leadership and mentorship to junior nurses on shift
