We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join our team at Franklin Ranch Pet Hospital. The ideal candidate will work well in a team, possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care for companion animals. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper animal care. A passion for animal welfare and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

About Us
Franklin Ranch Pet Hospital is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited animal hospital located in Elk Grove, CA. We are a family-owned and operated practice that values and promotes strong working relationships. We are a general practice with specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, and internal medicine onsite regularly.
Additionally, we provide an AI medical scribe (Talkatoo), for assistance with NOTE taking, and Pet Interactive, for client education, in all of our exam rooms. We have a team of ten doctors and offer a supportive, close-knit work environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
Perform surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and aseptic technique.
Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed.
Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients regarding animal health issues.
Provide guidance on animal husbandry, nutrition, and general pet care to pet owners.
Handle animals safely, using appropriate restraint techniques during examinations and procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments and progress.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.
Experience
A veterinary degree from an accredited institution is required
A current CA license to practice
Previous experience in veterinary practice is essential; critical care experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
