Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team at The Ranch Veterinary Hospital. We are a new hospital that is focused on quality medicine, culture and team work and great customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to practice good quality medicine, work well with our team and have great interpersonal skills all around . This role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries and dental and ensuring the overall well-being of pets in our care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions.
Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
Perform surgical and dental procedures with precision and care.
Provide emergency veterinary critical care when necessary.
Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Educate pet owners on topics such as animal husbandry, grooming, and proper nutrition.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
Experience in animal handling, including dog handling techniques.
Proficiency in animal restraint methods for safe examination and treatment.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
