Job Summary
The "Learn To Groom" position is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to learn how to professionally groom dogs in a real salon setting. This is an apprenticeship role and is designed for those looking to gain hands-on experience in grooming techniques while working in a supportive environment. As a grooming apprentice, you will learn essential skills related to pet grooming practices, contributing to the well-being of animals in our care.
Duties
- Arrive 15 minutes before you first scheduled dog.
- Working alongside your Grooming instructor, you will be learning how to bath, dry, and groom dogs of various sizes and breeds while advancing from Level 1 through Level 3.
- Learn to handle various breeds of animals safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
Skills
- Basic understanding of animal husbandry principles.
- Ability to lift dog of various sizes.
- Strong focus on customer service skills with attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the field of animal care and grooming.
