:
Responsible for ensuring appropriate veterinary care and regulatory compliance in accordance with the SOP’s, The Guide, AWA, and USDA. Trains and Manages veterinary technicians
:
Work from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Manage the veterinary care system and provide daily corrective and preventive veterinary care to animals on site
Lead and train the facility’s animal care team members as well as ensure other staff members are trained in PPE, biosecurity, etc. as needed.
Maintain a dynamic and cooperative atmosphere with other departments within the company.
Participate in the development, review and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
Represent BC US in official US animal welfare regulatory/administrative matters (USDA, CDC, AAALAC…).
Participate in regular veterinary system reviews and analyses to continually improve the Vet Care Program.
Keep all animal records updated in the BC US database.
Be on call for veterinary emergencies.
Work may require wearing protective clothing, visors and respirator for long periods in indoor and outdoor. environments under varying climatic conditions.
Train and supervise veterinary technicians.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qs:
Education and/or Experience:
DVM, VMD with eligibility for licensure in FL
5+ years’ experience working with NHP in a clinical, hands-on position as a licensed veterinarian (preferably with cynos)
Board Certification are an advantage but not a prerequisite for employment
Valid veterinary license in at least one US state and eligibility for USDA accreditation

This position has an indoor/outdoor work environment that may require working in inclement weather conditions. This position also requires exposure to biohazards and potentially dangerous animals.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
