Position responsibilities are managing yard employees, instructing them to perform specific tasks. - Oversee the general day-to-day maintenance and functionality of the Yard, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees. - Oversee care of livestock on grounds including feeding, checking water, maintaining water heaters, cleaning pens, fencing, maintaining overall welfare. - Tend to grounds upkeep, including but not limited to, cleaning load out chutes, scraping alleys, cleaning and upkeep up corrals, plowing snow, ice removal, etc. - Assist in grounds maintenance within pasture lines and corrals. - Develop and implement protocols and procedures for efficient operations, including feeding schedule, yard maintenance, manure management, pasture management, and waste disposal. - Work in collaboration with General Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute, yard improvement projects, etc. - Monitor health of livestock and under direction of animal care specialists administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments required while maintaining accurate records. - Must be able to ensure accurate head counts of all cattle coming in and out of facility. Making sure pen head counts are accurate and sound. - Communicate with General Manager and execute specialty tasks when instructed. - Collaborate with General Manager and Owners to develop and implement long-term plans for facility\'s improvement. - Promote a culture of safety in all aspects of Yard Operations, providing training and enforcing safety protocols, alerting others regarding potential concerns. - Attend and participate in staff meetings and other team activities. - Perform other duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBENEFITS:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHealth Insurance, 401k, PTO\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
