Job Description
The Course Writer position is offered via independent contracts per unit of competency and will assist the College in the development of learning and assessment materials for new and existing vocational education qualifications. This includes units within the Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (nutritional and dietetic support specialisation), Certificate IV in Massage Therapy, and Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Key responsibilities may include:

Liaise with content/industry specialists involved in course development.

Conduct research for learning and assessment materials as required.

Develop and review core learning and assessment materials including written materials, webinars, videos, assessment activities, facilitator (answer) guides and readings.

Proof all learning materials and assessments for formatting, educational and grammatical correctness.

Develop and review support materials for new courses.
Qualifications
-
Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. naturopathy, nutrition, dietetics, massage, fitness, allied health, health & wellness, etc.)
Skills and Experience
- 2 years full time industry experience (voluntary or paid) in a relevant field.

Course development experience (preferably in the Vocational Education Sector)

Well-developed communication, writing and interpersonal skills.

Good level of computer literacy
Highly Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to work towards this
