As part of our team at the Queens Park Nature Centre, you will work in a vibrant environment featuring native Australian wildlife, beautifully landscaped gardens, and immersive exhibits that reflect local bushland and flora communities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the care and conservation of animals in a setting that inspires and educates visitors.
With our treasured animals the priority, you will undertake detailed animal care and grounds and enclosure maintenance as well as:
- Care for a wide variety of terrestrial and aquatic animals and identify and implement improved husbandry procedures
- Prepare animal diets and monitor feeding
- Identify behavioural needs and implement care programs
Applications will be considered for full time or part-time employment (part time hours must suit operational requirements).
The Queens Park Nature Centre is open 7 days a week and this position may be rostered to work on weekends.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current C Class driver’s licence
- Certificate 3 in Captive Animal Management or equivalent is desired
- Current LR licence is an advantage
The successful candidate will need to be immunised against Q Fever and Rabies upon commencement of employment.
