About The Role: Selko’s Marketing Director will lead the marketing team in developing and executing strategic marketing plans to achieve business objectives, focusing on product portfolios within the livestock feed additives sector.
Responsibilities:
Lead Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic marketing plans for all product portfolios, ensuring they align with key business objectives
Manage Team and Resources: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team while effectively managing budgets and resources to ensure efficient and responsible execution of initiatives
Drive Product and Portfolio Growth: Collaborate with commercial, sales, and technical teams to identify customer needs, manage product pipelines, and oversee the successful launch of new products
Represent Business Interests: Act as the primary marketing representative for the US feed additive business, ensuring alignment and collaboration on a local, Business Unit, and Global level
Facilitate Key Meetings and Relationships: Organize and lead critical business meetings, leverage relationships with external vendors, and network effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 7 years of experience in B2B or strategic account marketing, preferably within the livestock nutrition/feed additive industry, with a strong background in managing product pipelines and new product launches
Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and influence in a team-based, cross-functional environment, both with and without formal authority, and to collaborate effectively with international teams and external vendors
Business Acumen: Strong skills in strategic planning, budget management, and financial forecasting, with the ability to identify and articulate customer needs and translate them into meaningful business strategies
Industry Knowledge: A bachelor's degree in agriculture, marketing, or business, with a preference for a working knowledge of livestock agriculture and B2B sales experience
People Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing direct reports, as well as the ability to facilitate key business meetings and build strong relationships with internal and external professionals
Expectations from the Role:
Strategic Leadership and Execution: The director is expected to lead the development of strategic marketing plans and ensure their timely and complete execution. This includes managing budgets, resources, and the successful launch of new products and initiatives.
Business Growth and Collaboration: A key expectation is to drive business growth by collaborating with sales and technical teams to identify and act on customer needs. This involves managing the R&D pipeline from a marketing perspective, overseeing portfolio management, and representing US business priorities at a global level
People and Performance Management: The role requires effectively leading, managing, and developing the marketing team. The director is also expected to establish and track key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and ensure team members meet their individual objectives.
