Baze Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of animal care, providing high-quality medical services to our small animal community. This role requires not only technical expertise but also excellent communication skills to educate pet owners about their animals' health and well-being.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures and dental work with precision.
- Utilize laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing and analysis.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Provide guidance on animal husbandry, nutrition, and general care.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during examinations or treatments.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare measures, including routine check-ups.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- State veterinary license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, husbandry, and handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and current best practices in pet care
