Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established practice in Colchester. This role offers the chance to guide a loyal and close-knit team, with access to excellent facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and a fully equipped theatre with two operating tables. You’ll have the support of experienced nurses, a patient care assistant, and a welcoming client care team.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and maintaining high clinical standards across medicine, surgery, and diagnostics
- Providing support, coaching, and development for the veterinary and nursing team
- Carrying out consultations, investigations, and surgical procedures to a high standard
- Working with the practice manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Building client relationships through clear communication and trust
