A Biological Technical Lead (BTL) supports the commercialization of biological products with channel partners. The role serves as a subject matter expert on the portfolio and provides exceptional technical training to internal and external parties.
Territory: Indiana and Illinois
Duties:
- Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with crop priorities, determine optimal product rates/timing, and ensure all materials maintain agronomic validity and global brand consistency.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for sales teams, customer agronomy groups, researchers, and internal stakeholders to support commercial objectives and territory development.
- Build and maintain a network of researchers and opinion leaders, develop sales-focused research programs, and support demo trials with technical expertise and protocol development.
- Maintain trial results database and create compelling product presentations and marketing materials that translate research data into actionable sales tools.
- Partner with District Managers, Area Managers, Product Marketing Leads, and other key stakeholders to execute the biologicals strategy across the organization.

Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Agronomy, Horticulture, Weed Science, Plant Pathology or similar field.
- Five years' experience in agri-business within marketing, technical, or product development roles.
- Thorough understanding of agricultural trial design including replications, plot size, applications, assessments, and statistical analysis.
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills with proficiency in electronic presentation programs (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Basic understanding of ag-tech space including drone/satellite imagery and plant health sensors.
- Established network of opinion leaders and researchers within the agricultural industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teaching abilities with demonstrated problem-solving skills and capacity to analyze complex market and agronomic data.
