We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused
Loan Officer to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with customers, assessing creditworthiness, and structuring loan solutions that meet both borrower needs and bank objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of credit analysis, and a passion for community engagement. Salary range of
$50,000-$80,000, depending on experience.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for agriculture. We are open to candidates with no lending experience and willing to learn as well as candidates who are seasoned in banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough customer interviews to gain insights into business operations and align financial products with client needs.
- Prepare, analyze, and present credit proposals using Moody’s Analytics software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as an active member of the loan review committee, contributing expertise to evaluate credit requests and customer projects.
- Perform detailed credit analysis on loan applications, assessing financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral.
- Present comprehensive credit summaries and make well-founded recommendations to the Loan Committee.
- Maintain regular contact with customers throughout the loan servicing lifecycle, providing exceptional service and support.
- Conduct on-site visits to evaluate collateral positions, production cycles, and future credit needs, ensuring prudent risk management.
- Cultivate strong relationships with community organizations to enhance small business lending through strategic partnerships.
- Engage in community activities and strategic partnerships to understand local needs and contribute to community development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Understanding of agricultural crops or livestock
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and stakeholders.
- Sound decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to organizational goals.
