We now have an exciting opportunity for an experience Financial professional to join our team as the Group Financial Controller.
About the Role:
The Group Financial Controller (GFC) holds a pivotal position, responsible with the oversight of financial and management accounting, commercial reporting, and controls within the Group. As a senior finance leader, this role is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial data, actionable business insights and robust business financial controls. This position closely collaborates with the Leadership Team and various departmental leaders, while providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimise our sales, product offerings, pricing strategies, and overall business performance. A successful GFC requires strong leadership and communication skills, commercial acumen and strong technical financial skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Group's finance systems, data flows and processes
- Support strategic decision making through commercial insights and reporting capability
- Oversee the Group's monthly management reporting process, providing visibility and insights on key sales and cost drivers
- Lead the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes
- Leading and mentoring the finance team to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Be a trusted partner for the broader business departments by providing ad-hoc financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making and special projects.
Skills and Experience:
- A current CPA or CMA Certification.
- An advanced tertiary qualification in finance or accounting.
- An in-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial processes budgeting and forecasting best practices.
- Proven ability to lead a medium-large team, work autonomously, and collaboratively influence key business stakeholders.
- A proficient understanding of ERP and BI systems.
- Experience working in an omni retailer.
