An integral part of our local community for over 20 years.
Since opening the doors 20 years ago we’ve helped our pet-parents look after their cats & dogs, rabbits & guinea pigs, birds, lizards and even a few snakes (if you don’t like snakes, just remember that you will know when they are coming into the clinic so you can stay safely behind the reception desk!).
Being so strongly integrated with our local community is important to us, we provide an experience that doesn’t distress pets and a level of service that our customers know they can rely on us for sound advice and treatment options.
All of this starts from the first time an owner calls, through to following up after treatment – and this is where you come in.
How you can help us
A lot of the time when someone calls a vet its because their pet is in distress, sick or has injured themselves. Its high stress and emotional moments like these where a reassuring voice on the other end of the line gives everyone sense of calm, and that help is there.
Being able to work with people in distress, get the required information and make the process seem like it happens every day (cause it will) is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate. High EQ, high attention to detail, calm in the chaos while getting things done. It doesn’t just help the pets and pet-parents, it helps the entire team.
What your background looks like
- You will have experience working in a clinical environment (human health or animal health)
-
Excellent organisational skills (bonus points if you can help organise others)
-
The kind of attitude where if something needs to be done, you just get it done and not walk past it
-
It goes without saying, but you really do need to like animals
