Our practice has boarded-specialists in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Oncology, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery and Critical Care with added services of rehabilitation therapy and in-house reference lab.

Our Internal medicine department is very busy and has a well-established caseload and is supported by an excellent team of technicians and assistants along with a department specific client communications liaison. Our hospital has advanced imaging equipment including CT and MRI and flexible & rigid scopes.

Preference will be given to candidates who are ACVIM or ECVIM board-certified Internal medicine specialist, however individuals who have completed internal medicine residency training will also be considered. British Columbia is one of the rare provinces in North America allowing board certified European Specialists to work under a “Specialty Private Practice” license without ECFVG certification/equivalence requirement.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
- Must possess excellent communication skills with clients, staff and referring veterinarians and be motivated to grow our Internal Medicine department.
- The ability to make decisions, delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members.
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Will provide evening and weekend on-call services.
- Work collaboratively with other departments on patient centered care.
- Must be self-motivated and have a desire to teach and train doctors and support staff.
- Must thrive in a fast pace environment.
Education and Credentials:
- Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine or equivalent degree
- Candidates must be board-certified (ACVIM or ECVIM) or residency trained (and eligible to sit for board examination) in Internal Medicine.
